limewire pro is not any safer than any other p2p program !!!!!!!
the software itself is fine,its the files that you download that may harm your pc.whenever you dl anything from limewire,virus check it first before opening.....then and only then will you be safe.

Mattk, yes you are perfectly correct in what you say, I think it is safe to assume that we all realise that we can download infected files, I think what hattster was concerned with was that Limewire itself was full of bugs, spyware, adware and the like, which limewire is if you don't get Limewire Pro.

Limewire is about as safe as the internet itself: not very. Protect yourself adequately, and you should be fine. This means virus scanner and firewall.
