How do you sterilise glass jars, oil containers etc

Bit of a follow on from the oil question, how do you sterilise jars, olive oil bottles etc prior to using them for oil, jams etc

Any help appreciated

wash them in v hot water, rinse in boiling water then put them in a low oven to dry out, or better still use a dishwasher
