how long after you split with someone does it start to get better?. Am finding it a little hard at the minute to be very honest, after just finishing with a girl who i really liked.

If you're determined to stay broken up then you should ask yourself why you argued and were the arguments worth it? Was being right worth more than the relationship? Sometimes pple need to back down and agree to disagree then let it go.
Talk to a friend about it...in due time you will just get tired of talking about it. That is when you are ready to move on.

It can take forever if you're really in love with a person, but for sanity's sake you have to try and move on. If this person doesn't respond to any contact, then the best cure for a broken heart is to go out and enjoy yourself. Gradually, as time goes by, the days seem to get a little brighter. It was two years before I could bring myself to start dating again after a failed romance, and although I'll never forget this person, when I see him these days - I actually wonder why I held on for so long. I have a new partner now, who, though I never thought I'd say it, is everything the other one wasn't. Good luck.
