ive downloaded torrent toolbar registered with torrent site downloaded a torrent saved the file help how do i make use of it when i try to open it a window opens up saying windows does not recognise the file but ive already followed their instructions and downloaded the torrent toolbar please help im a complete novice

it appears from your question that you have done the following
1 used the torrent toolbar to get the torrent from a torrent site
2 saved the torrent file to your pc folder

now you dont know what to do

well if i am correct you need to download a bit torrent client i personally use a program called utorrent,its easy and fast to use.

The reason you cant get anything to work is that a torrent file is only a sort of pointer to the file you want and not the file itself,therefore you need the bit torrent client ie utorrent to open the torrent file and start downloading the file itself.

i suggest you just google using bit torrent or something same and it will guide you

If thats not the case then you probably just need and Un-zip program. More often than not people download something that is compressed and doesn't self extrct. Worth a go...
