Israel Continues To Be Blessed By God
6 Answers
If you don't believe in God, how do you explain how Israel, constituted in 1948 on the most miserable peice of real estate on planet Earth, has just had an economic growth rate in excess of 5%, is 15th in the league table of countries rated for economic growth, (the nearest Arab country was 23rd), and is now world renowned as a leader in high technology from computers to pharmaceuticals, you name it, Israel does it, and at the same time, makes the desert bloom!
All of this is in keeping with Gods' promises to His chosen people, the only true democracy in an area populated by jihadist islamofascist regimes, who rely on western technology, (and oil of course), to keep them afloat.
God Bless Israel! And He does!

Can I just ask you a question Theland? Since it is not a Christian country, why are you so sure that God blesses Israel? After all, according to the Christian church, if we don't seek salvation and repent our sins through Jesus Christ - and the Jews don't - then we are doomed. Isn't that right? Not likely to meet many of them in heaven, that's for sure.

Is this a joke question? You're not seriously attempting to say the most rational explanation for Israel's growth rate is God, are you?
Do you look down the toilet and prounounce 'God has put a poo in the bowl'?
And what is this silly notion that those evil towelheads have to rely on Western technology, as if it isn't also true for Israel?

A thought occurred to me this morning while lying awake and trying (and failing) to get back to sleep.
Aren't the Israelis treating the Palestinians rather badly. With homicidal oppression even. By anyones judgement they are not being very nice.
But your other question about how an atheist figures out right from wrong implies that religion teaches us the difference and teaches us to be good.
And yet here you're saying God is smiling on Israel.
Even though they are slowing murdering the Palestinians.
And God is rewarding them? But I thought God teaches us to be nice to each other?
I'm sure you'll understand my confusion. Could you help me out here?
