Hi
My kids are now back at school, I have 4 weeks before I am back at uni....
Any suggestions how I can pass the days, I am sick of cleaning, and a bit broke so shopping is off the menu!!
I am supposed to be pre reading for my dissertation, but having attempted this twice I fell asleep!!!
Thanks

Hi happyjo, I have the pleasure (?) of being able to study without child-sized distractions-except for my fur baby-which should mean less falling asleep. However, it doesn't! I am not even a "typical" student: I am 21, living with my partner, rarely go out, and commute to Uni. However, I am still knackered most of the time! Also about to embark on my 3rd year (it sounds as if you are-forgive me if I am wrong). I had every intention of pre-reading, but things seemed to get the better of me. Oh well, fingers crossed that if I come at it running I won't lose momentum!
Roll on graduation. Lots of luck for this year, and in this blissful 4 weeks before you return, start a new, cheap, hobby. Cardmaking, floristry, a language....Whatever you like!

My husband used to conduct his own personal taste surveys to construct his top products list when he was at home and bored. This does involve some purchase, but is not expensive. He would go and buy all the different brands of a product - e.g. minestrone soup and have it for his lunch on succesive days to work out the best one. Repeat for custard, crisps etc and you get the general idea. It certainly kept him occupied for a while! Sad Git! lol
Come in useful from time to time - but it does involve going to both Sainsurys and Tesco each week to ensure that the correct products are purchased!!!! I think that he may be a frustrated train spotter!
