road tax pricing

A friend who drives a Honda tells me his road tax last year was �45 and this year �35 . I have a Honda Civic 3yrs old and I paid �155 last year. His he pulling my leg?

I drive a Honda and have just paid road tax on it. Cost me �180.
Although, it does depend on the size of your car.

What Honda does he drive? I have no idea about these dual fuel cars, but do these have much lower tax bands?

Also, is he on about a 6 month disc as apposed to the full 12 month?

Police or no Police, they have to pay the same as everyone else.
Even if it was a six month tax disc, it ought to be more than that.

depends on the c02 emissions but some cars can be as cheap as �35
