I find all perfumes, aftershaves and scented products extremely unpleasant, on me or anyone else. To be honest, I'd rather smell whatever bodily odours they're supposed to conceal. That also goes for so-called "clean" smells, such as pine and lemon (except of course when found on a pine tree or in a lemon...)
I have terrible trouble finding shampoos, deodorants etc which don't make me gag.
It's really a form of air pollution, when you're forced to smell other people's overpowering scent. The worst is when a "deodorising" spray is used in a building, and you can't escape it. This is unforgivable.
I used to live in Ashford in Kent, which can be pretty bad at times. There's a cheap-scent factory there, and whenever the weather is calm, the whole town reeks of bog cleaner! Sums up Ashford, some might say...
