I think this Q has been asked before but I was really new then and didn't know anyone! What aftershaves/ oerfumes do people wear/ like? I just bought my man a xmas pressie cos he loves Beyond Paradise for Men.

I'll answer my own Q, I wear Happy by Clinique or Flowers by Kenzo. The men's fragrance's I love are l'eau by issey miyake (sp?) and lacoste for Men, along with Beyond Paradise for men.

I find all perfumes, aftershaves and scented products extremely unpleasant, on me or anyone else. To be honest, I'd rather smell whatever bodily odours they're supposed to conceal. That also goes for so-called "clean" smells, such as pine and lemon (except of course when found on a pine tree or in a lemon...) I have terrible trouble finding shampoos, deodorants etc which don't make me gag. It's really a form of air pollution, when you're forced to smell other people's overpowering scent. The worst is when a "deodorising" spray is used in a building, and you can't escape it. This is unforgivable. I used to live in Ashford in Kent, which can be pretty bad at times. There's a cheap-scent factory there, and whenever the weather is calm, the whole town reeks of bog cleaner! Sums up Ashford, some might say...

I love wearing Samsara but for my hubby , I buy Joop because it's soooooo sexy. He used to wear Fahrenheit when we first met but they seemed to change the formula for making it and he went right off it. I think that Armani aftershave is also really nice. Clean , fresh and subtly sexy. Mmmmm. I could just sniff him all day !

Chanel Anteus for Men is so, so sexy without being overpowering. I like most the the CK perfumes, especially truth. Hugo and Hugo woman are also really nice for men and women respectively. My husband is another New Forester and thinks all perfumes smell horrible and make him sneeze. Doesn't seem to be able to tell the difference between Glade plug-ins and Chanel!

I'm not big on perfumes, etc... I sometimes like them in extreme moderation on other people, but whenever I put them on myself, no matter how lightly I do it, they seem way too strong. I also really can't stand when someone walks by leaving a trail of something very flowery. I do like to have nicely scented shampoo/soap/other such products though, since they leave a VERY faint scent. Tea trea oil is nice, as is eucalyptus and lavender.

I always wear issey miyake mens' version but occasionly I wear Burberry London For men or Joop (Joop I don't like much but lots of people do!)

My favourite aftershave is Chenl Pour Homme, and I do like 'Cool Water' as well. My all time favorite perfume is 'Poison' because it's so strong and heady, but I also like 'White Linen'. If I smell a scent I like, I will make a point of asking th wearer what it is.
