it is commonly supposed that nothing north of Watford is worth knowing about. The matter is rather confused by the fact that nobody knows which Watford is being referred to. I think it's probably the one in North Dakota, but it's hard to be sure.

Watford village (which Watford Gap services is named after) is the next door village to mine and is about 10 miles from Northampton.
