how do i get tar spots off the paintwork of my car?

Use a cloth dipped in a bit of petrol or diesel, it will come off no problem. Then just wash normally. (BTW, don't have a fag on whilst doing this!)

I bought some stuff at Halfords today to get the dead bugs off the front of my car, "Turtle wax bug and tar remover". It is clothes like baby wipes that you use to scrub the car. It takes a bit of elbow grease but it worked well on the bugs. It says on the tub that it will get rid of tar as well.

It was doing my head in.These flys and bugs stuck to my new mg zs and this lady gave me a pair of tights and told me too wet them and rub WOW problem solved try this people just a pair of tights and some cold water it works like magic...........I"LL GIVE YA A TENNA IF IT DONT.....
