Surely this was a massive own goal by the Chechyan (sp?) freedom fighters where as anyone who might have been symathetic to the their cause would surely turn against them after the slaughter of innocent children?

Yes, ELipledge, I think we'll all have to "agree to disagree" - probably just what the terrorists want.
Point taken cruthin boy, I understand where you're coming from, as I said, I'm not in favour of negotiation either I just don't think blasting the life out of any particular country will work. elipledge, it's not about being 'liberal', the whole point of my last post was to make it plain that I'm not a 'bleeding heart liberal', it's simply about what will and will not work.
By the was elipledge, I didn't say that cruthinboy WAS condascending, I said that I thought he sounded a little condascending - that was my opinion, not a statement of fact, an insult or an accusation. There's a bit of a difference there.
Erm...you've "debated" this but is it actually proven that they were chechen terrorists? from what i remember it said most were of Arab origin. So the way i see it they did it not for some sort of Chechnyan independence bid but for instability in the Caucasus. Only time will tell who Russia decides to strike at.
I just can't see how a group of barbarians can justify slaughtering more than a hundred innocent school children. When they're caught I hope they are made to pay for the atrocities they have commited.
