Plumbing

My husband has decided on a possible career change to plumbing. It would be something completely new, he has no previous experience.
Could anyone advise as to the best way to pursue this? i.e. a course or an apprenticeship or something else?
Thanks

I mean there are NON GOVERNMENT GRANTS , for this type of ENROLLMENT ......so one should be careful ,before handing over ones money.....(PLASTERING COURSES ARE ANOTHER- QUICK FIX -BECOME A TRADESMEN TYPE OF "SET UP") ........
