my 3 year old daughter has just started pre school and she seems to have taken a few steps back - her drawings are just a scrawl, where before she really did some great drawings/paintings etc I am begining to feel that its the wrong move - she doesnt speak about it but the teachers assure me she is ok - can anyone advise please?

How often does she go? I found it best to start them off with 2 or 3mornings a week...then as time goes on take in the afternoons up to 3pm... on one hand its good that they get a chance to socialize with other kids...but then again...I always worried about if the staff were kind enough to them...but I got over it...and they made lots of friends and were invited to parties (yes at 3yrs old) and were constantly bumping into pre school friends when we went for walks in the park...it was nice and I made quite a few new friends myself.
Hi leia, it'll probably take your daughter a little time to adjust to a new routine and environment, and for you too!! When my 2 boys started nursery school I think I suffered more than them to start with, it seemed so weird without them about!!! Give her time and I'm sure she'll be back to 'normal' very soon.
Is it just about the drawings or is there something else? If it's just the drawings, I would not worry about it. She is probably having too much fun to spend too long on the drawings.
