Mongrels
I saw a snippet of news today about a puppy that had been abandoned, poor thing :( It said the puppy was a cross between a dashund (sp?) and a staffy (think thats what they said anyway) The pup was gorgeous and I was wondering .... what is the strangest mongrel dog you have ever seen?
There used to be a dog on our street that was a cross with a dashund and a german shepherd. It had a proper german shepherds body and head and tiny little legs. Bless it it was dead comical.

I love cross bred dogs, no 2 are completely the same and you never quite know how they will turn out, I was watching the Dog Whisperer the other evening, some of the mongrels on there were gorgeous, I wanted to fly out and adopt a few, but hubby said no!! SPOILSPORT. ha ha!

Excuse me, the term you want to refer to is cross breed or dual heritage. I am not a mongrel, my parents were not exactly the same to look at, I am sure yours were not either but I doubt you would want to be called mongrel!
So if we are going to talk about strange I think we should be careful what do we mean strange. You lot are very odd to look at because you have so little hair and most of you is bald. Even with that fault you still are kind of cute and usually good for a cuddle.
If I manage the link correctly I will show you a pedigree in the foreground which I am sure you will like but find very dull, and I am in the background and you will undoubtedly agree beautiful

oops sorry whippetycros, I meant no offence by either the term mongrel or strange lol Every dog I have ever had has been a mongrel (sorry but thats what we call em) and over the weekend me and my daughter were looking for a rescue dog and on every site we looked at the mongrels first.
All 3 dogs on the pics were lovely :)

I accept your apologies and realise you didn't mean any harm, its just you still need training. I have come to realise training humans isn't just one set of classes, but ongoing. Its not that you mean to be naughty its just you don't know any better until you are taught.
Although I still struggle not to be impatient when it comes to taking my humans for a walk. I know jumping up and barking will not make them move any quicker, but time and time I forget and fall into that bad habit. Must keep reading the training manuals and be consistent.
