How do you get rid of moss on tarmac drives

There is a product available froom garden centres specially formulated to kill moss/algae called Armillatox - just dilute and spray on with a watering can - smells like Jeyes fluid but is beeter for killing moss having tried both.

A pressure washer with a patio nozzle will also remove the moss.

We asked exactly the same question at our garden centre the other week. Armillatox was mentioned, but then the assistant asked if there was any vegetation nearby, ie did the path border on to a flower bed. If NOT, then it was suggested that the cheapest way would be to buy the cheapest bleach available, get a wire brush to brush it in with and then use a hose pipe to spray it it off. Now, that's not an option for us and also it sounds like hard work, depending on how much you have to do. So, it's over to you!

My mum had this problem for years - lethal as it was very slippy. She did the bleach and scrub with a brush thing but backbreaking work and, over the years it breaks up the surface of the tarmac. She's now had it taken up and a gravel drive done.
