Treating Moss On Tarmac Drives
11 Answers
Hi Gardening ABers out there. I'm going to have plenty of time on my hands in a few weeks' time, as I am retiring from my full time job at the end of next week. So there will be no excuse for me not to get to grips with treating all the moss that's growing all over our tarmac front drive. Any ideas or recommendations as to what would get rid of this pesky stuff, please?
Many thanks, chox.

Loads of things to go on the "wish-list" so far, whether I get round to them all is another matter! Anyway .... we've got Jeyes fluid in the house, and it's always easy to get hold of. Do I use it neat, or a strong solution thereof. Someone told me that caustic soda is good too. Any thoughts?
Happy retirement Chokkie, just don't let the moss grow under your feet. As posted earlier, I don't know where I found the time to go to work. I am as "busy" now as I have ever been. Armillatox and caustic soda will indeed work but I always fill up a few big pans of boiling water in the spring to clean up the patio and paths, works a treat with no contamination issue if you have pets or plants.
