My pirated antivirus has died. which is best please free.

I have seen your recommendations before but not saved them


Which are free, antivirus, etc, what do I need.

In my experience, the best free antivirus program is AVG Free Edition. This is a free download from: www.grisoft.com

I use Avast. Think someone on AB recommended it. Its free and has worked for me

I've been using Avast with Comodo firewall for some time without problems.

2 firewalls = problems
same with anti virus

I notice no one has mentioned ad-aware and spybot search and destroy (use both) ..... to protect you from those nasties pirate sites love to include

I recommend AVG Antivirus - I have been using it on my personal computer for years and never had a problem.

I would also download free spyware removal software too.
Adaware - Spybot Search & Destroy, Windows Defender etc...

up untill recently i have been using AVG but have had some issues with it, after much deliberating with friends in the I.T. industry i have been donated a version of an antivirus called Kasperky and it rocks, needless to say i wont be going back to AVG... its no longer reliable....

Steganos uses the same engine but is only �24.00

for an out and out freebie ... avg has fallen from grace lately ... many of the mags are now praising AVIRA
free but with (very) nags
