Bailey, I�m so sorry for you and your son. My son hit the national papers recently and all the news-shows for something similar. The situation was later compounded by the fact that the thugs made a rap video and posted on the internet. They celebrated the fact they had assaulted an innocent person. The text was so graphic, where they stated that they beat him until they thought he was dead, but when they discovered he was still breathing, they went back in a group and thought they had finished him off.

After a long drawn out process, including us being called to Parliament, a number of the assailants were tagged and given about 9 hours of community service. After countless reconstructive surgeries, my son is physically much better. However, the event has robbed him of �for lack of a better way to describe it�his innocence. My daughter has been threatened�presumably because she is considered to be �haughty� as she doesn�t �hang� with �the other kids��the truth being, she has a select number of friends and those friends are not drug-taking, cursing, underachievers, such as the ones who assaulted my son, but instead prefects at school, who are involved in volunteer community activities, ballet and after-school language clubs.
