Seriously thinking of subscribing to this but can't decide from the website whether the standard package, (9.99), will allow me to enter the Sat., Cryptic Jumbo & Sunday Crossword Competitions online. Can anyone tell me this, please?

It says interactive puzzles only , which should mean that you should be able to press the SUBMIT button which appears on the interactive version to enter the prize crosswords, but you would have to sit at your computer to complete the crosswords.

I subscribe to the 24.99 package which is still fantastic value. You can print, solve and then submit online loads of different crosswords.

Actually, looking again - you can probably only enter the Sunday Cryptic, and no access to the monthly prize crossword, either.
You also save on stamps, get it as early as you like (within reason!) and is by far the best value of all the subscriptions.

You get a monthly special and all the bank holiday jumbos.

It is well worth the extra!

Thanks eddiebun & Murielmci for confirming my suspicions about the inadequacy of the standard package. You're both clearly very satisfied with the 24.99 one so bearing in mind also the saving in postage I'll definitely go for that. Thank you so much for taking the time & trouble to reply.
There is another bonus, your submissions are unaffected by postal srtikes.
Hi Annie Jay, I have been subscribing for over a year and won the S/Times cryptic within the first couple of weeks although no such luck since! But it does mean you can enter on paper and electronically and while away the hours at work.......

I agree with the comment re postal strikes or if you don't get round to sending it off within time.

To be honest Cheaton, the postal strike has been what's finally spurred me on to join the Club, having considered it for months. I'm very pleased to hear that you've won since submitting electronically. I won the Sunday cryptic last summer & the second prize years ago but have been ploughing on with Saturdays & the Cryptic Jumbo for seemingly centuries with no joy. Found the performance of the website frustratingly slow yesterday, but maybe it was the internet....... Good to hear from you!
