There are many side effects to being worried.

Sweaty palms.
Nervous twitches.
Pacing up and down.
Sleepless nights.

Please ring receptionist to arrange appointment to discuss in more detail.
no, he might get a dead arm for an hour or two but otherwise he should be tickety boo
Hi Mrs O - my husband has a flu jab every year & hasn't had any side effects as yet.

I, on the other hand, had one a few years back & didn't feel too good for a week. I may have already been going down with a cold though, so can't solely put it down to the jab (although I'm reluctant to have another).

Good luck.

Thats what I thought cazzz, but being the hypochondriac he is he wouldn't listen! Many thanks. xx
I've never had side effects from either the flu jab or the once only pneumonia jab
Question Author
Thanks smudge & ethel. xx
You're very welcome Mrs O. -x-

Like Ethel, my husband's also had the once only pneumonia jab, with no after effects.
Question Author
smudge or ethel - what's the criteria to qualify for the pneumonia jab? I've never heard of it. (Mr O has to have the flu jab as he has late onset asthma - does he need the pneumonia jab as well?)
He would qualify for the pneumonia jab as well mrs_o,anyone with asthma does.:-)

Thanks daffy. I'll look into that for him.
i have had the flu jab for several years due to
asthma, the only side effect i have noticed is
a numb arm for few hours
Hi Mrs O - my husband suffered with bouts of bronchitis every winter & has had bronchial pneumonia twice, so the doc suggested the one off pneumonia jab which should be beneficial to him.

Hope that helps.
I heard if people have an allergy to eggs, then it can effect them as the flu is cultured in an egg solution (hens eggs, that is)
Hi , I had mine a couple of weeks ago and had no side effects :-) x
I had mine on Wednesday morning and felt well enough to play footy at night although I did get tired quicker than usual. Just so long as he's not allergic to chicken, eggs, antibiotics or feeling under the weather he should be fine. It's weird that it's made from egg! Kind of grossed me out a bit.

Thanks again for all of you for taking the trouble to answer. Mr O went to the flu clinic & had his jab this morning. He feels well in himself but where he had the injection on his upper arm is very swollen & looks as though he's had a hand grenade inserted under the skin. He was acting a bit pathetic until I said that if he felt unwell we'd have to stay in tonight. He's since perked up no end!
