Are they really going to introduce it here? I really hate the idea of it!! There's no need!!
Whose idea was this anyway? I want to scream and shout at them!!
In London that understandable, but this is dumb. I live near the city centre(ish) we won't be able to drive across Manchester because some fool decided it would be a good idea!!

My husband cannot get a job nearer home. It would take him over 2 hours by public transport to get to work and the buses do not start running early enough to get him to work on time anyway. It is not a feasible option for him . He does not work in the city centre. Would disabled drivers who cannot use public transport to get to work have to pay the congestion charge? Iam talking about genuinely disabled drivers. Not the fraudsters who abuse the scheme by using a borrowed disabled badge. Those people should be prosecuted.

Well done for coveniently igoring the question why coucil tax payer should pay for to to travel for free.

We are in agreement, this counrty relies on roads that can keep traffic flowing. Accept they are not at the moment. Even though the roads are congested, you say do nothing.

It is not officials who make the policies, it is elected councillors. If you are unhappy with it, you have to opportunity to vote for different councillors at the local elections. You can not tell council officials what you require, because their job is to action what the elected councillors have decided is policy.

Drivers don't want these charges. True.
And can see a workable alternative. What is that?
