Can someone help please? Can I use a 'daisy chain' scart lead to go from sky box to video and dvd, leaving just one scart required from tv to sky box? Thanks  Ian Tanner - [email protected]

Dont think so.

How many scart sockets does each piece of equipment have? I am asuming the sky box has 2 and all else 1....

In the above scenario, I reckon the best configuration would be :

-connec t sky box to the video via scart , so you get good quality recordings. Use position Av or Ext (or whatever its called on your vid) to record.

-Dont try and connect the dvd through the video, as the macrovision copy protection will create picture distortion. (This does not apply if your  dvd player has been hacked!).

-Since dvds don't have rf modulators, you will have to connect the DVD to the TV's (only) scart socket.

-use the co-ax cable betwen Tv and VCR - tune the TV in to the video channel. To get sky you'd have to set the video to AV input and the tv to the video channel

- Or buy a scart AV switching unit with 3 sockets (better quality all round but you may have to get up to change over between devices).
