Accident
I had an accident yesterday on the M56 and im just wondering whos fault you think it is cause hes saying its mine!!
He was driving an audi TT whilst im in a ford fiesta, i was coming off the M56, going onto the M60.. i was doing 50mph because of a sharp bend which i new was there and also there were road works there! I noticed a speed camera (Just put up) cause it wasnt there last week, i did see signs saying 40mph but i stuck too my 50mph which i always do around that bend! I braked sharp too get my speed too 35mph and bang.. he hit me up the backside and sent me into the barriars! He must of been driving too fast and of course, way too close! Whos at fault?? Thanks for your help, Alex.

You were really lucky , shunted from behind by a speeding driver , obviously taking undue care and attention of the road , Fact is he could have killed you. In my opinion he is to blame , let the insurance company sort it out , just keep it plain and simple, slowed down for roadworks , audi driver hit me from behind , end of story !
I hope your neck is not too sore if it is get it checked out and report it to the insuarnce company .
a word of caution do not discuss any accident at the scene when emotions are running high ,

Difficult one. On the face of it I'd say he is to blame for driving to close but then he was faced with someone stopping severly quickly in fron of him, so you also have to take your driving into consideration. Slamming on the brakes to slow down 15 mpg without due care on a higher speed road may be taken as erratic. Did you check your mirrors before you applied the brake like that?
i know exactly where you mean!! i go that way on my way back from hale!! i think he's at fault for going too fast and being too close as you say but to be honest you should have slowed down sooner cos the 40 signs can be seen on top of the bridge and also the camera was there last week (honest!) and the 40 signs were too why how come you stayed at 50??
