Moss

I have been told that Sulphate of Iron is great for the treatment of moss.
Looking on the net the only Sulphate of Iron that i can find says that it is a plant food.
Could anyone shed some light please.

Is this moss in your lawn or elsewhere?

It's all on hard surfaces.

I work for a local Housing Trust & it's a big problem for elderly tenants slipping

Thanks - I have always used a strongish solution of Jeyes fluid, that seems to get rid of it.

Make a sink bowl of hot water and bleach or fill a watering can and pour over the area and scrub with a yardbroom.

Asolution of Armillatox available from garden centres will kill off Moss/algae - have found it to be more effective than Jeyes fluid as it is formulated better to kill moss.

either pour salt straight from the container onto the moss or make a strong solution up with water,and water it on.(good for killing weeds on paths too)
