can't shift / move / realign windows taskbar

My taskbar usually rund horizontally, at the bottom of the screen.

It now runs vertically, on the right hand side. (dunno what I accidentally might've pressed o move it!!)

I've tried everything I can think of to shift it but I cannot shift it back to it's original position! .... any ideas ? please?

No problem. Just darg and drop the grey area of the task bar to the bottom of the screen and it should realign itself. You've accidentally done this to get it on the right hand side.

It can also go on the left and at the top of your screen if you like.

I meant "drag and drop" rather than darg.

Thanks squarebear....but unfortunately I have tried to frag and drop the task bar. It'll drag horizontally but does nowt if i try drag it vertically. How weird??? Any other ideas???

ummm - typing aint too good tonight - i meant Drag not Frag....and yup i presumed you meant drag not Darg :-)

Drag your cursor to the middle of your screen then drag it to the bottom without letting go of the mouse. That should do it.

Thanks squarebear....but nope - just tried it and didn't work for me! It's a mystery!

again I can drag horizontally but not vertically. When I try drag vertically the cursor changes from it's normal double sided arrow shape to the same but with 2 line running through the arrow. Never seen that before!

It shouldn't be a double sided cursor. That means you are resizing your taskbar. You should drag the middle of it. The cursor should just be a normal arrow.

aha ! Got your point square bear!

Dragged from the MIDDLE and it moved from left to right

Thought i had it sussed but ....when i tried to drag from top to bottom...nothing! AArgh! Only working side to side not up n down! Ready to throw this out he window in a bit! :-)

SQAUREBEAR...you are a genius!!!! Tried NOT releasing the cursor and moving from left to right and straightawy up to down and it worked. Thank you a billion times. Looks like the PC isn't going out the window tonight after all!
