My youngest has strugled to find work in Scotland, lookin to the rigs, needs certain qualifications, can any abers that work on the rigs advise him, live in Fife.

My partner works on a rig, he did an apprenticeship with BP straight from school 10 years ago. What kind of work is he looking to get into? He will need to get his survival certificate then enquire with offshore companies as well as checking the press. Local press in Aberdeen is particularly good for this type of work, check out www.thisisnorthscotland.co.uk and go to the jobs section.
