We want to do something nice
4 Answers
we have just heart that one of our work colleagues has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and only has a couple of months to live. We would love to do something for her, but she is very weak. Does anyone have any lovely ideas? I am aware whatever we do will use up her energy and I am conscious that she also has a family that need her and her energy for as long as she can muster, so we don't want to be selfish.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Firstly, select a person to go if appropriate, and coordinate with the family or direct with the lady.
Take a card signed by all with things meant from the heart... jokes... tales of work etc
A break from the norm is always welcomed when people are sick or terminal.
It brings a smile.

Thank you for your kind answers. She has emailed us and thanked us for the lovely flowers sent. She is resting and saving her energy for very close friends and relatives and making the most of the beautiful autumn. We are all writing her letters and sending her cards to make sure she knows she is cared about and all the positive things she has brought to our lives in the times that we have known her. She sounds as though she is telling us she has all that she needs, for which we must be grateful. So most of all I wish her a safe journey.
