Should I buy my boyfriend a Wii for his birthday? He's been going on and on that I should buy him one! Now I feel that I HAVE to but it's not exactly cheap!

no they are not cheap and they are hard to get hold of.

depends really, id say no if you havnt been seeing each other long or if money is tight, or if youre likely to get annoyed at being a wii widow :)
Tell him to get a life lol
I have bought one for my husband for Christmas!! Was really hard to find one though - got it at Game.
go halfs with me and we'll take it in turns, your house one week, mine the next. lol My bloke wants an xbox, we are going to wait till sales and see what we can get
My fellas been wanting a 360 since they came out, but im not buying him one just because of that, he would use it alot for a week, then forget about it, like he has the xbox, the PSP & the DS that we have got!
I dont get them lol.

I know of blokes who spend more time on their game consoles than they do on their wives....
they are good fun but it is wrong to go on and on at you that you have to buy him one. That is just rude therefore you should not buy him it in my opinion.
No, you should surprise him!! Buy him a cuddly little hamster. Can you imagine the look of surprise and love on his face when he opens the gift box? I know you can, so do the right thing. All the best xx
Yes buy it he'll love you forever. I have one and it's the best thing in the world, and I don't like computer games. Compared to the PS3 or Xbox 360 it's total value for money, and as it's back compatible you can buy older nintendo games for it, which have come right down in price. You can also hook it up to the internet and download old NES and SegaMegadrive games for 3-7, plus arcade games (about 3.50 each) so you can relive your miss-spent youth! Also the radically different style of controlling the games reinvents even the dullest scenarios (e.g. tennis) - buy one, get 2 friends round and play doubles tennis, I promise you you won't stop until your arms fall off!
nope. he shouldnt have kept going on and on about 1
ungrateful pig,
the wii is a womans game console, along with the nintendo ds
If he wants one that badly, why doesn't he buy his own? Seems he is expecting a hell of a lot for a Birthday pressie, asking for a game for one might be more like it.

He wouldn't spend so much money on himself. He is good with money, unlike me.

Despite the majority of people answering that I shouldn't buy the Wii, I think I'll go with fairkatrina's advice as that was really the answer I was looking for I think! He may be an ungrateful whinging child but I love him!

Now the real question is: where can I get one so soon before Christmas?
Try the smaller shops (gamestation etc) as everyone'll be going to argos, hmv etc. Most shops will take your number and give you a call when they've got them in stock, so if you get your name down for a few eventually you should get one.
