Thanks to you all for your well wishes. For those who don't know, Thanksgiving is supposed to be a day of remembering the 1st Thanksgiving when the Native Americans (AKA Indians) shared their harvest with the first American settlers. Apparently the Puritans (Pilgrims) were having trouble surviving the harsh wilderness and the Indians shared with them. In thanks, over a number of years, the newly formed American Gov't slaughtered them and took their land. Of course we don't teach that part in school.
The food is Turkey, mashed potatos, sweet potatos, corn, cranberry sauce, gravy and any variety of variations. Of course with our diverse country many other cultures add their own touches too.
Thanks again to one and all!!!
