The pain relief hardly touched it. I have also had a 36 hour labour with gas and air, which didn't really help much and I thought that was the worst pain I had ever had, until the tooth!!
I felt bad moaning about it, when you think of the pain that some people are going through every single day with illnesses.

Having a chest drain inserted is very painful and i've had it done 3 seperate times. I have also had surgery on my lung and the recovery from that was no walk in the park. I am having more surgery next monday but that is only a septorhinoplasty and i'll be home the following day,it shouldn't hurt too much(I hope).

OOOhhhh Chinadoll, removal of dressings after ops, I remember them!! Then having the stiches taken out. I was only 8 when i remember I had stiches going right down my chest which had to come out!! Thank god for this new lazer thing they use to close u up with now!!! I also had to go around with an external pacemaker on for 2 weeks whilst in hospital after that op when i was 8 and that KILLED, wont ever forget that one!!!
Some years ago I had an abcess around a tooth. It's a long story but suffice to say the dentist b*ggered up the treatment and within 24hrs the abcess spread, swelling the whole right side of my face to the point that I couldn't open my right eye. I looked like the elephant man. I had to have emergency treatment and having an anaesthetic injection through the roof of my mouth directly into the abcess was the most excruciating pain I've ever experienced. I didn't know such pain existed. Even childbirth didn't come close to that pain.
The doctor that pressed down with all his weight on my tummy when my appendix had burst almost ended up on the other side of the hospital. After I'd had it removed and was in hospital. my brother leant down to hug me good bye and tripped on my drain tube. It was sewn into my abdomen so that made my eyes water a bit (and his because he felt so bad).
I have to say, though, a case of ear infection in both ears wins it for me. That had me screaming and rocking backwards and forwards on the floor.
