Hi Polly,
You don't mention which type of e-mail you are using, web based such as hotmail or outlook?
I found with webmail that you can log in from one computer in the morning, read and delete some messages, but logging in later from a different pc the deleted messages reappear and read messages are unread.
thanks for both your replies.im using outlook express virgin media.im not vert technical im afraid please could you tell me how to get into the web thingy you mentioned and how to delete the rubbish as havent a clue!!!! thanks in advance
It is almost certain to be a very large message which someone has sent you, and this often happens where people send photos from digital cameras which have been taken at high resolution. You haven't said which type of connection you have - is it dial up or broadband? Some ISPs set a maximum file size for emails over which you probably won't be able to receive the original mail.
oh my god!!! thank you soooooo much!! someone had tried to send me an e-mail from some weird site and that was what was blocking everything else!! have now deleted and can send and receive e-mails with ease again.wouldnt have had a clue without you guys tho and would have spent about 50 on my mobile ringing tech support so thank you very, very much very much appreciated!! xxx
