Q3 looks like DRACUNCULUS, which is an arum plant also known as the "green dragon"

I have found 'hernshaw' and 'heronshaw'
Answer may depend on the number of letters required.

If you have established the pattern of answers beginning with a "B", then you will know that 10a begins with the letter B. There is a set, repeating pattern.

If you have an idea of the name of the bird you are looking for, that will tell you what letter 10b starts with. Each new bird starts after a line of C's and also follow a set pattern.

i have got bradshaw for the first part of question 10 if thats any help for you .have you done the first part of nos 20 ,21, and 30.

Finished it all last Monday..........once I established the patterns , it was easy to get most of the starting letters.

You can get the start letter for 21 from the bird and 30 is on a line of C's ,

If you use the Chambers website given earlier by smouse, all the answers are among the lists. If you have a Chambers Dictionary, you can check the meanings.

I got my new Chambers for Christmas in 2005 from Mrs. Brokenbank, so I have to use it!! lol.

I suspect some people doing this quiz have not worked out the letter/bird patterns and it's a big, big help if you can do this.

I agree without seeing the birds and therefore the starting letters I think you will struggle
