Hope it doesn't snow.

Got no car at moment, and bloody freezing, walking and relying on public transport!
No snow here Dot...thank god....can't stand the stuff
Question Author
I am hoping it is gonna be a good covering as it always reminds me of being at home when we were kids and looking out in a morning when it has snowed and just seeing field after field of white for as far as the eye could see!
Lucky thing Dot. I agree - I love it, but it doesn't look all that promising from where I am.
snowed all day here
and more still falling
hope you get to build your snowman

when i was 8, there was that much snow drifted into the lane down to the house, my dad had to dig us out to get to school and the snow was up to the top of my head as i walked thru the path he had made!! we still got there on time and it was a 20 minute walk, he must have dug 150 yards of a pathway! just with a shovel too!!
I remember sometime in the 80's when I was a child, and we had quite a lot of snow then - enough to build a snowman anyway, but since then, I can't think of a decent fall. I know it can be a mess when it's thawing, but I envy anyone who's getting some right now.

January 1982 it snowed alot and stuck, my eldest was 6 months old and his Dad was on his last tour and we hade just moved into our first house after living in a quarter for 3.5 years, and I was completely isolated!!! My dad came and dug me out then too actually!!!! we lived just below Ashurst Beacon on the hill.
Feb 1982 I remember it well...snowed in here....and I was 9 months pregnant....
My friend was born in some massive snow storm in the 70s, his mum went into labour and thought she has better make her way to the hospital. So by foot alone, she put her stuff on a little sledge and pulled it through the streets. She gave birth to him half a mile from the hospital on the sledge, with the milkmans help. How bizarre is that???
Question Author
that is bizarre in the extreme (cold), the milkman made a special delivery then, wonder where the birthplace is recorded as? A sleigh in the street maybe lol
Oh poor thing - but what a brilliant story!
No snow here yet!! I love when it snows but have an appointment in the morning so I'd be happy just this once if it holds off for a few hours :)

About 10am would be good for me lol

We had enough snow here about 2 years ago to build a snowman, it was brill seeing all the snowmen along the street...I sight I hadn't seen for a long long time :) some of the kids hadn't really seen much snow before so I was teaching them all to roll the snow up n down the street lol
ya we got loads of it just need to find me wellies for 2morrow morning i loves the snow
