Passports

Hey guys,

I'm going on holiday to Italy with my family and I was wondering do I need a passports for my 2 daughters? They're nine and thirteen.

Far as I know even babies have to have a passport now, but check it out on the government website.

yes they do need a passport and they will be 5 year ones

my kids can travel on mine until there 16.

Not obvious Legend, they used to be allowed to be on Mummy or Daddy's passport, so it is a reasonable question.

However that was cancelled a few years ago and all must have their own passports. Photos of babies that satisfy regs are not easy!

If I have read it right, then your 9 year old will have been born after '98 when the rules changed and therefore needs her own passport

Your 13 year old, if she is already on it, can still travel on yours. Quote "Before October 1998 many children were included on adult passports. If your child is on your passport they can continue to travel with you in this way until"

If you need to renew your passport then your children cannot be included even if theyre were previously. Quote "If you renew or change your passport in any way your child can no longer be included on it and you should apply for a first 5-year child passport for them if they are under 16"

No, neither can travel on Mum's passport.

Even if the thirteen year old was on the passport, the photo used to require updating after five years and they will not update it now. Children are removed from the passport if it is returned for any changes.
