Cleo is gone.......
57 Answers
Cleo was put to sleep this afternoon. It has been the hardest decision I have had to make in a long time. The last thing I wanted was for her to suffer.....Unfortunately the vet could not get the needle into a vein easily.....and my feisty little madame growled a bit. I am glad in a way that she still had that bit of fight left in her!!

Pasta, I am so sorry to hear your news. Nothing to add to what's already been said, just know that her spirit will be purring away at you every bedtime, and probably at 6am each morning too (I have heard cats can be quite demanding!)
I am yet to lose a pet, and dread the day. I cried reading your post, and also reading people's responses. People can be so kind, and it is always supportive to hear others' stories, sad though they are.
My thoughts are with you, run free Cleo... xx

Oh ^%**&%........I have been fine all day-been at work so had to contain my emotions. Came home feeling a bit grumpy. But I have just read all the messages left today and I am absolutely overwhelmed. By the time I had read 2-3 of them my eyes were streaming. It is a combination of deep sadness, and amazement at all the good wishes I have recieved...even from "strangers"....love and thanks to you all xx

Pastafreak, love, I'm SO sorry!! I guess we all knew it was coming, but when it actually happens, it's so sad. I do feel for you, knowing how much I love all my animals (but especially the cats!). You know, it's funny, but when I go away on business, I swear I can still feel a cat on the bed with me (in a hotel room, miles from home...???). They're always with us, in life, in death, in spirit. My little Cleo is curled up on the chair just now, fast asleep, and I've told her about your Cleo. My girl is named after another wee cat I had for 18 years - she's just like her in temperament and also has the loudest purr in the world (as did the old lass!). Maybe one day, you'll have another little cat come into your life and you'll remember Cleo.....
