I have found AB fast and reliable over the last week or so

I have found AB totally inaccessible in the last week. Every time I try to get on AB I get a message that the site is under construction! I am currently signed in on AB beta and this is the first tme in an age that the beta site has allowed me to sign in at all. I'm still getting error messages when I try to post, but, lest I speak too soon, I have found my way around it. I can't fathom why others can access the old AB but I can't.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the airlines for their planes flying and not crashing, and the electricity generating companies for keeping the lights on instead of blackouts.

Sounds like some are blaming AB for the state of their computers .... try cleaning up - clearing Temporary Internet Files / Deleting Cookies / Anti-virus upgrade / Browser upgrade .... etc etc

I have no trouble in signing on to either AB or AB Beta :-)

Athenae, I take exception to your patronising post implying that those of us that have had problems with or been unable to access AB must be too thick to keep our systems clear of dross. How exactly would you know that was the cause? AB has been fraught with problems since the launch of AB beta. Problems which the AB Ed has already said caused trouble with their main server and have nothing to do with 'the state of our computers'. Nobody is more hot on system maintenance and internet security than I am. I don't need the likes of you to take it upon yourself to assume that's why I couldn't access AB. My computer is probably much cleaner than most people's...including yours. The problems lie with AB. Stick to being sycophantic to the AB team instead of a self-appointed know-it-all.

Perhaps you didn't mean to come across that way. If so I apologise, but that is how it came across to me and it instantly got my hackles raised....in case you didn't notice!
