Hello, was wondering if anyone out there knows roughly how much it'll cost me to pay in a cheque from someone in America (in dollars) to my Bank account here in England? I assume the bank will charge me for doing it...?

Thanks in advance  =)

My bank would charge you 10 for paying the cheque in - if it's in dollars then it'd probably take about 7-10 working days to clear and if, somehow, the cheque bounced, they'd apply an additional charge.
Yeah my bank would charge 10 too, I put a Canadian Dollar cheque in recently.

At Nationwide, it's about 2% of the total amount of the cheque when converted to our curency.
