Help! What's wrong with my shower?

I've been in a new house for about 3months now and this morning the electric shower was playing up.  Very little water was coming through and the temperature needed to be turned right up to heat the water at all.  It's quite an old shower but was wondering if anyone had had a similar problem and could suggest whether it is repairable or should simply be replaced.

Have you ever descaled it? If not could simply be that. Go to Wilkinsons or hardware store and get a descaler. Make sure it is suitable for showers. Pop the shower head into a bucket containing the descaler - hey presto!
