Why is Royal Mail's service so utterly APPALLING!!

My latest problem involved re-arranging delivery of a Special Delivery parcel. After being sat at home all morning waiting for it and after making three phone calls to Royal Mail and leaving four messages at the local delivery office, I find that my redelivery instruction was completely ignored and it is still at the sorting office!!

Finally, I managed to get the manager to call me and he is getting one of the staff to bring it to me on their way home. Wonder if it will arrive today.......

Well good luck - i hope you got it in the end.
I understand completely as some of the things i was expecting from royal mail weren't delivered for days!
