Pregnancy on the pill?

If i thought i was pregnant but was still taking the pill (just incase i wasnt pregnant), would this harm me in any way?

Hi there

Might be best to speak to your doctor about this just to make sure but I didn't find out I was pregnant with my son until I was about 16 weeks pregnant and took the pill all that time
He is healthy as anything
Please check it out medically though

Harm a baby, its a possibility.

why cant you stop taking the pill until you can get a reliable test result?? You say yout think youre pregnant so its hardly the same as not knowing at all is it.

Use a condom or abstain in the meantime.

It is not wise to take the pill if you think you are pregnant due to the excessive hormones in it.

It is not difficult to get a test from a chemist to get a definite answer. No point not knowing for sure....

In the pregnancy books I have looked at, they have said it will not harm your baby if you keep taking the pill because you do not realise you are pregnant. You should just take a pregnancy test and you will know in 5 minutes! the pill cannot give you a false positive.

i have just found out i am 4 month pregnant and was taking the pill up to last week!doctor said there is no medical evidence that it does any harm as i like you was worried id done some damage.stop taking it and just do a test,at least you know for sure.good luck.x

Depends what pill you are taking, some like Dianette for example can deform a developing foetus,
