Career Change

I would love to change careers but can't figure out a way of doing it! I've been an accountant since leaving school 10 years ago and am soooooo bored with numbers and my current job. I currently have no idea what I do want to do but whatever way I look at it - I can't take a drop in income due to mortgage etc. I'm single so I can't rely on anyone else to pay the bills unfortunately! Anyone had a similar problem? Has anyone managed to successfully change careers without going bankrupt in the process??

What about working in a bank? Still be dealing with figures, so to speak, but also seeing lots of different people.
