can you get ink poisoning from drawing on your skin with a BIC biro? i drew zebra print all over my hand, i mean ALL over (dont ask me why) and everyone was saying, your going to get ink poisoning, so, is it possible, if so, what are the symptoms?

If you'd have drawn a lion or giraffe you would have been ok...

But a zebra?

completely different thing..
Maybe a Zebra crossing instead of print would have been better, but seriously anything you put on your skin can be absorbed into your bloodstream but I shouldn't think you have anything to worry about. Toxins are on our skin all the time from pollutants in the air. Just wash it off as best you can, but if your hand starts to go green and lumpy seek medical advice immediately.
I hope not - most of us spent our time at school drawing on our hands! But did you say a BIC biro......???
