What have I done?
22 Answers
I have just seen a dig that boysinblue68 had at me in January. Why? I don't think that I have ever noticed a great many posts from him(?) or has he changed his name?
I must say that I have taken umbrage at his comments. I support virtually all the quizzes posted on the site, and try to abide by the unwritten rules. Yes I do ask for help - but only after I have researched all the internet sites and books that I have. I try not to ask questions too early or those that have already been answered. I Iwasn't even involved in the thread that he had a go at me on! I really must have upset him at some time.
I would love to be quick enough or bright enough to help others on this site but I think that I have only managed it once in the 18 months I have been a member but I keep hoping.
If I have got the ethos of the site wrong I would appreciate feed acak from someone with less of an axe to grind.
I feel a bit better now

No best answer has yet been selected by granny grump. Once a best answer has been selected, it will be shown here.
For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.grannygrump - you may not initiate questions, but there are many times when you ask questions in a thread that's already been started. There is no difference.
If anyone doesn't know an answer or can't find out from their own means, where is the harm in leaving a blank space? What possible satisfaction can anyone get from using someone else's answer and claiming it for themselves? Why do people think that they have to get an answer to every question by any means possible? Don't forget that in the main, we are talking about charity quizzes, so there are no life changing sums of money involved - so why the need to cheat?
There is a growing list of people who obviously are not prepared to do research themselves (judging by the number of questions they ask) - bibster, mac park, markham, to name but a few. Don't you realise you are ruining some brilliant quizzes for people who actually want to pit their wits against the quiz setter. By getting answers on here and elsewhere, the quizzes are turned into a lottery. Please don't say "don't look then", if you do you are clearly missing the point.
shaneystar2 - I thought we had agreed on a truce (and a difference of views) - it appears not - another tirade (as you put it).
squarebear - you know very well why I "had a pop", or as I would put it "voiced my opinion in the same way you are entitled to do".
There is another contributor to this thread who agreed with my comment about questions being asked when there were still 5-6 months to go before the closing deadline, yet in another thread I find the same person asking questions about the very same quiz. POT, KETTLE, BLACK.
Finally, I would like to point out (naomi24) that I am not offensive or rude in any of my posts - I am not an "arrogant bighead", I'm voicing my opinion as you are obviously entitled to do.
