I get the joke, but quizzes aren't truly quizzical! 'Quizzical' really means 'mocking' or 'questioning in a comical way'...whereas many quizzes are deadly serious! The appropriate adjective from 'test' is, of course, 'testing', as in "It was a very testing interview."
