Flowering Shrub - What is it ?

I have a flowering shrub in my garden that I was told was a Abegelia.
I have searched Google using all the spellings I can think of - but no joy
Does anyone know what this could be.

A Weigela is a member of the family Caprifoliaceae. So is an Abelia. That might be what you've got. However, there are many different types. Several of them are pictured here:
