Mascara
Hi all,
I'd be very grateful if anyone could recommend a really good mascara.
I'm looking for one that makes your lashes look longer - the wide eyed look! But doesnt clog on your lashes, etc.
Many thanks...Spcl xx

Having tried almost every one on the market, the one that I find works best for me are the loreal ones. I have loved L'oreal voluminous for years and more recently I've discovered L'oreal double extension (the one with the white at one end and black at the other), and haven't yet found anything to beat it! It really thickens and lengthens my eyelashes, doesn't smudge and doesn't clump (even though I wear about 4 coats!) The Maybelline double ended one is good too though, but avoid the ones that go on with a comb applicator rather than a brush - they are a nightmare!
Other ones that are Ok but not as good as Loreal are:
Max Factor Masterpiece
Maybelline Great Lash
Benefit Bad Gal
Generally I find that the dearer ones aren't as good as the middle of the range ones (YSL, Lancome etc are generally not very good), and I have tried a couple of No 7 ones and neither of them were any good either. But then it seems like different ones suit different people and the ones that I like might not be someone else's first choice, so it might be a case of trial and error until you (like me) find something that suits you!

I have fairly short eye-lashes so i went on a major hunt for a good mascara and at first i thought the best was Maybelline Great Lash in Black but then i found Maybelline Define-a-Lash which by far is the best i've ever tried. It's also fairly cheap which is a bonus.
It's good because you can alter how it helps your eyes. Such as, with one layer you can open up your eyes with a very natural look that its subtly very pretty, but with more layers you can create a great ngith-time look that really defines your eyes but doesn't clog at all.

this is an unusual response but I buy quite cheap eyelash curlers, as they give maximum volume! I have started using Borgeois oui an volume non aux paquets mascara which is a comb, better for less clumps. together they are fantastic! Obviously because the eyelash curler almost turns your lashes 90 degrees its worth applying a bit of vaseline to your eyelashes after you take your make up off. This is a bit high maintainance I know but i've done it for ages and i always get complimented on how mine look.
