PS3 to PC monitor??

Im thinking about getting a PS3 for xmas, but at the moment i only have a crappy 14" tv in my room which i know will not do the new ps3 games any justice.. however I do have a flat screen, HD monitor for my PC (made by Phillips) does anyone know if there are adapters out there which would allow me to plug this monitor into a PS3?? (my connection at the moment is just the bog standard one, blue with the little screws on either side!?) or am i gonna have to find a good LCD tv? if so does any one have any suggestions for good, cheap LCD tvs??, like a 20" one would be perfect. thanks in advance.

......hmmmm, check your local gaming stores(ie. gamestop, walmart, ect.) for adapters, they should have something. If not you may want to go to a playstation website to see if there may be something you can order.
