They are not based on what you weigh it's the same for everyone
The key to the plan is to eat as much 'free' food as possible as that is how the plan works

Thanks, its just I heard one of my friends that used to go said that her SW consultant alloates each individual with a recomended Syns allowace, eg hers recomended 6 syns per day...... I have been having 10-12 and struggle to lose....so figure i must be having too many syns for my size
The classes I have been too have just said have between 5 and 15 a day so not sure.
The only time I have known it be different is when someone is breastfeeding, they need to have extra healthy extras.
When I go to group on Monday I will check this out and let you know.

I lost six stone after I had my son in 2006 but then stopped going to group and have put 2 stone back on

Try to make what you can (nice meals) out of the free food and use the syns if you have to- that's what I did. Don't feel you HAVE to have 10 a day cos often you are not hungry but end up eating something "extra" for the sake of it.
Sorry I also forgot to mention that as far as i can see the website doesn't give any info on that...yes i love the free food and am totally educated about the diet, just wondered about that.......I just love my wine :-) so every syn counts ha ha
