Sky Tv set up problem
4 Answers
Brace yourself..
I have Sky, a TV, a VHS and a DVD recorder. It was set up quite happily until I got a new Sky remote. I followed the instructions on the leaflet, pressing in a 4 digit code for the TV make etc. Then, I lost the TV picture. I just had a "fuzzy" screen and only AV appeared when I tried to change the TV channel using the TV remote control. Now I am p****d off! The only way I can get the TV picture, is to turn on the DVD recorder. Before, the TV would be on even if the DVD recorder was off.
I have emailed Sky saying how crap this is, and that I want an engineer to help me put it back to what it was, and I don't think I should pay a call-out fee.
Any ideas what happened?
For info- here is what I did:
Press tv on remote control
Hold down select and red key together for 2 seconds until the light on the remote control flashes twice
Press tv again
Key in the 4 digit code of your TV brand (0053)
The light on the remote control flashes twice (it didn't)
If you see it flash only once, enter it again.
This is as far as I got before it went to pot!! Help!!

It sounds as though you just need to press this button as many times as necessary to get back to your normal TV setting.
Once there, you can start again trying to programme the remote.

Them black bugs, by the way, cleversod, turned out to be plaster beetles- they are attracted to damp and mildew, which I do have in my lower ground floor as it is under ground, plus the kitchen (where they first came in) was completely plastered when I had it put in- all the walls etc, which is where they originally come from. Hence the name.
So nothing to do with not hoovering, thanks.
