Yes, twice - literally! Went to Warwick castle once, when there was a jousting thing on. It was a warm day, and I fainted. The "knight" - in armour - jumped down from his steed and came over to see if I was OK!
The first time, I went to a medieval banquet where jousting was being done again. The winning knight gave ma a ribbon which I had to put over the end of his lance (now, now!), and then he swept me up and galloped off with me!!!
